We are a small preschool and child care center offering an active learning, developmentally appropriate preschool program and a Nature Explore outdoor classroom. How long have you been in business?
We have been in Loomis for almost 25 years!
What is your primary product or service?
We offer an active learning preschool program for children ages 3-5 from 9:00-12:00 and a Toddler Program for 2-3 year olds from 9:00-11:45. We also offer full day, extended childcare and an afternoon program for children who need care all day. Our full day program offers the same small teacher child ratios and philosophy of active learning.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My desire to work with children and families began very young when I realized that some children were not succeeding in elementary school. I began to research how to ensure that all children have successful elementary years because ultimately this leads to a successful adulthood. It starts in preschool. What we do and how we treat children at the preschool age matters. Preschool teachers must be educated in child development and have a good understanding of child development and how young children learn. Young children are distinctly different in the way they think, and therefore must be taught in a way that respects that fact. I hire teachers who understand that. I earned my Master of Arts in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and a Bachelor's of Arts in Child Development from Sacramento State University. I have spent many years working toward providing the best programs for young children. We have now opened our Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom! The Nature Explore program one more way to ensure that children are experiencing and developing through all of their senses. The Outdoor Classroom provides so many experiences and opportunities for child to grow and develop.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer highly educated teachers who have degrees in child development and early childhood education. Our teachers are trained in the most recent methodology to help your child develop the foundation needed to succeed in elementary school. Our program is research based and noted for positive results.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have one location in Loomis. We are working toward expanding to offer infant care in the near future.

We are located in Loomis between Sierra College Blvd. and Horseshoe Bar Road.
What type of payments do you accept?
We currently accept checks and cash.
Which areas do you service?
We serve families from Loomis, Penryn, Newcastle, Rocklin, Roseville, Auburn, Colfax and nearby areas. We are also conveniently located close to Sierra College.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Susan Piette, M.A. opened the Center 25 years ago.

We are open from 7:-00-6:00 pm and offer early opening on a case by case basis.
